About

Artist Nancy McTague-Stock grew up on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. She credits early exposure to environmental experiences as the impetus for her life long artistic focus.

"Working in Art and Design
in NYC took me to Asia, London, Paris, Milan and India. I collected things every place I went. Often, I would make something out of what I brought back, and would wear it to a party, garnering questions like ‘where can I buy that?’ Soon, Studio Minerale was born! "

"My love for gemstones, minerals and found objects never ceased, and my desire to make and discover beautiful things from around the world to wear continues. I create and find one of a kind, handmade necklaces, earrings and bracelets for my clients, who want beautiful color, unusual pairings and prices to share with your friends (or not!)"

A Fellowship Recipient for post-graduate work at The Slade School of Art at the University of London in Experimental Drawing, Nancy also received an MFA from The Art Institute of Boston in Visual Studies, focused on the environment. She holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Metalsmithing and Textiles, with specialty training in Ancient Jewelry techniques from the Kulicke Stark Academy for Jewelry Art in New York with Bob Kulicke. Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions in over ten museums, solo/group exhibitions in galleries and universities in Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Portugal, Serbia and in the US, from Los Angeles to New York. Her work is collected by private collectors & public institutions worldwide.
